In 1980 while riding the NYC subway a man commented to me about graffiti he had been noticing that seemed different from all the rest. He was intrigued and interested. What caught his eye was the tag of Keith Haring - “Radiant Baby”. Amid the cacophony of images and words that had spread across the city, the man had made a connection. This series of photographs is a collection of words, drawings, and pictures that resonate with me. It might be political, social, cultural, an odd phrase or an image beautiful or bizarre. I capture what engages, provokes or surprises. Ultimately, I would like to create an installation - filled with the complex message of the street.
